Welcome Message

The Graduate Program for Real-World Data Circulation (RWDC) Leaders,
Nagoya University

The Graduate Program for Real-World Data Circulation Leaders, Program for Leading Graduate Schools of Nagoya University aims to train future global leaders and equip them with the necessary skills to be able to thrive in an international setting. In order to achieve this goal, the RWDC program includes overseas events with themes in data circulation, data analysis and applications.

RWDC Summer School 2017

The RWDC Summer School is a program that aims to give students international hands-on experience in a cross-culture, cross-disciplinary setting. Every year, an intensive summer school is hosted in collaboration with an affiliated overseas University, comprising of technical lectures, cultural exchange activities, and factory visits to overseas divisions of Japanese companies. For 2017, the RWDC Summer School will be in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. As a Southeast Asian country with long-standing economic ties with Japan, Thailand is an ideal location for both Thai and Japanese students alike to not only deepen their technical knowledge, but also gain an understanding of the two cultures through cultural exchange lectures and joint project work. This experience will help them to understand conducting business and research overseas, and inspire them to work together in the near future.

Theme of RWDC Summer School 2017

Technology has an increasing role in nearly all areas of our lives. Propelled by rapid advances in data collection and analysis with Artificial Intelligence (AI), more and more of the objects and systems around us are becoming "intelligent". As part of the inter-connected world of data circulation, they are able to collect, process and apply information to provide real-world solutions. The theme of this Summer School is the application of AI in different areas of the data circulation process— Making "X" Intelligent.
